Dolphin coming to town (Bandar Sunway), we all got a little excited this morning while seeing this at the road side.
We grabbed the URL and hit with the browser, and got this:
It is funny that people spent thousands on making a signboard, but couldn’t get their URL right.

我去年八月到过金马仑一趟，逗留三天，前两天都下绵绵细雨，户外活动非常有限。
这次再上山，气象局预测也是天天下雨，所幸山上完全不是那么一回事。
早上的空气清爽冷冽，中午过后，烈阳高挂，照在皮肤上，炙痛难耐，只有一阵风吹过，还有一些寒意。到了夜里，又是另一番气象：我们住农村屋，没有暖气供应，村屋的设计也不能卸寒，睡到半夜，如入冰窖，尿急也不舍得离开被窝。
我们住的地方，海拔1650 米，靠近一个市聚（KEA Farm），买菜倒很方便。村屋周围种满各种有机蔬菜，农村的气息浓厚，给城里的孩子体会一下农家的环境，的是个好去处。
我们当夜到小镇上吃有机火锅，蔬菜类是很新鲜，鱼虾类就不敢恭维。我们点的多是蔬菜类，和少量鱼丸、菇类，吃得蛮过隐。
隔早进了蝴蝶园，一个小型的花园。虽说是蝴蝶园，蝴蝶的品种却不多。蛇虫杂物却不少。
走到尽头，有一条山径引向一间类似已经荒废的木屋（夜间拍鬼片可矣），那可是一间标本博物馆呢。
当然，里头的标本对乡下长大的孩子是见怪不怪了。
傍晚的夜市摊是蛮多东西的，只是看起来跟吉隆坡的很相近。
我们星期五傍晚在街上行走，觉得气候凉爽，次日多了很多游客（周末的关系），竟然有点闷热。
最后的一天，我们去茶园，有一个挂半空的咖啡厅，览望大片茶园，可以长人志气，宽人心胸。回路时想到另一个小型动物园，可惜还没走到，因为山路越来越窄，越走越是陡峭，只好放弃了。下山时还得跟上山的车子对卡，那条山径，一辆车也嫌窄，莫说两辆车上下了。
在山上的感觉蛮好的，我的无线宽频3G表现不错，比较往年，简直天壤之别。对那些想出走又走不开的人，至少上网还算容易。
我想我们明年会再来这地方一次。

I don’t wear watch, I know time from cellphone, or the corner of computer screen. I don’t like having a piece of thing on wrist just to tell time, it would be overkill.
I used to like Casio Pathfinder or Fisherman, but they are not pocket friendly 
Until I learn about this Casio Riseman 9200, a watch that basically does a lot more than just telling time.
It predicts weather, tells temperature, gives me altitude reading, and runs on solar.
We have a lot of fun going outdoor, being able to know the weather condition in advance is essential as we have excessive of rain all year – the watch predict the weather accurate enough.
I am now wearing it each day. I like the way it is so un-watch.
It has no compass, somehow Casio decided to keep the feature to Pathfinder only, which is the only thing I missed.
One of my servers has just hit a 1000 days uptime.

I’ve just developed a small classified ads engine, and show it off at hot.my
It is still at beta stage, meaning may not work as expected. It should be tagged as alpha version – but I doubt many will know what alpha really means.
What I intended to do with this? Just another classified ads? Yes
Just another one, so you can probably ignore it.
However, if you are interested in the technology behind, wish to adopt it and put a marketing force behind (with your own domain of course), let’s talk.
What is the strength of this engine?
- very small, very clean interface footprint (bandwidth friendly)
- dynamically load sub pages thru AJAX instead of reload the page all the time.
- using email as the “hook” – no registration require before a guest may post content.
- very simple “image gallery”, no Flash required.
In the road map:
- user login dashboard, allow user to manage their post, and more.
- user ranking on item posted – similar to digg or reddit.
- user remark/discuss on item posted.
- more dynamic portal, to show latest post, hot items etc.
- more types, less classified ads approach.
- expand more on properties and automobile.
- migrate to jquery AJAX framework.
I’ll like to announce that we have successfully upgraded to new linux only file system: ext4x2, which basically offer double the physical size of the hard disk.
The technology behind was unknown, but some said related to alien’s technologies that found in UFO crashed site – it was cover-up by the US government for 30 years, and only revealed recently.
Linus, the core developer behind the Linux kernel adopted it immediately after the secret has been revealed 1st April 2008, and never turn back ever since.
The software algorithm not only double the size of the existing disk space, but potentially increase the I/O speed by at least 50%.
Linus claimed that there is still room to grow, as the algorithm is too “alienated”. Most of their team member can only understand merely 10% of the code, nobody really know how it works.
There is one side effect however, on the new ext4x2 file system: the ADSL internet bandwidth seems to double as well, which may effect most of the ISP profit margin.
User may download files faster than usual, and still using the same old ADSL link. This however, has no effect on Wifi and most of the mobile network connections, like 3G, GPRS etc.
Many users report good experience with ext4x2, some claimed that their files are a lot smaller now created in ext4x2 system.
Microsoft and Apple cannot be reached at the moment for their future intention on adapting ext4x2. Some industrial expert said Microsoft could never adopt it due to “copyright” issue related to the algorithm (own by the crashed alien), but they’ll definitely reverse engineer it to get the same result.
我是路盲。来了吉隆坡超过十年，还是摸不清石头，出门要做很多研究，看地图功夫已臻化境，后来 Google 推出免费卫星地图，更是如虎添翼。
但是出门之前的功夫不论做得多好，总是无法完全不走错路：因为我邦的路，不但会自行生长和改道，其路标的混乱和昏暗，绝对令人叹为观止。
有了卫星导行，我发现我们在车上吵架的机会少了。至少不必为了走哪条路而闹到眼红耳赤。虽然卫星导行未必带我走最恰当的路径，重点是，它能带我到目的地。
我一夜之间，从一个路盲，变成一个路神通。从一个跟车虫，变成一个带路佬。
我不怕谜路，走到那里，只要一按“回家”，卫星导行就带我走回头的路。我因此走的路也多了很多。
如果说科技真个能带来好处，我想卫星导行是其中一项比较正面的吧。
这东西改变了我们向外走动的意愿，也解决了我们一个长久以来的难题：那鬼地方怎么去？
