I only managed to drive Myvi on the second day, eventhough this is the second day of ownership, it is my first day of driving it.
The feel and handling is very much like Kancil 660cc – I tend to believe that I was driving a Kancil instead Myvi. About the same level of power and strength cruising bellow 90 KM/H. Kancil IS a fun car to drive – mind you.
I was having hard time to keep the speed at 90 KM/H. When I feeling like a little speedy and look at the odometer, it is always over 90 KM/H already – not recommended speed during break-in period according to the manual.
It is easier to drive than the Honda Jazz, the view is wider, the steering is lighter and the ride is softer. The driver seat however, does not provide sufficient support for my back. A long hour traveling could suffer.
The engine sound is a little loud, but I am sure it will be quiet down after the first service. The wind and the tyre sounds are bearable, but not so quiet compare to my 10 years old Land Rover. The ride is definitely more comfortable then my Kancil and Satria.
The signal control is a little too soft. The wiper adjustment level is rather unusual. Sound system is definitely a joy, if they put in a MP3 capable CD payer, it would score a perfect 10 from me.
The door lock/unlock through the remote device has no audible alert. This could be inconvenient for the deaf, but I actually preferred not to have such alert.
The luggage space is definitely insufficient if I am going to bring my entire family out for a few days trip – my son’s “accessories” alone would occupied the entire luggage. We have problem to keep the baby cart in there too, not without some force.
After a day spent on the car, I had developed some weird feeling that I am not a good match for it. It looks young and hippie. People like me wouldn’t fit. Fortunately it is my intermediate car, borrowed from my wife.

After 180 days of waiting, my wife has finally got the car. So we at least going to have a decent car to move around from now on – at least decent enough as our family car.
See the car in action, day 1, just out of the showroom

While it is amusing to watch these video, but don’t they hurt? It is all that funny when you see people being hurt, even if they managed to walk off with all bones in place?
Oh well, I used to enjoy watching these shows, but I kind of enjoying the animal version more these days.

I was watching this documentary with my 2 years old daughter. She wasn’t paying attenssion, as she was merely accomodating me while waiting for the show over, so that I can turn on her Sesame Street.
Life wasn’t easy. It wasn’t easy for us to bring her to this planet. I though I’ve been through all of it, but the penguins proof me wrong.
If you think your life sucks, go watch the movie. Think penguin.

Browser is the standard for all platform, but you still need to download and keep FireFox up-to-date in order to take full advantage of the latest and greatest of the Web. So I don’t see why people can’t download a piece of client software and double click away. hey, the spyware is doing that without user consent.
I still think “browser” has been handicapped, over-hyped and under-deliver. It offers easy point to start a client/server development, and it stops there. It is way behind what a REAL application suppose to be.
Looking at what the browser delivered today is like looking at what application has managed to deliver 5 years ago – on the UI and functionalities.
AJAX brings browser a step closer to the feel of desktop applications, Google managed to wake the world with gmail and map using AJAX framework, but I have a feeling that it’ll be like what JavaScript do to HTML – suppose to offer more “client” side processing – suppose. But people don’t invest on client side processing all that much because of the pipe has grown, and the server has more processing power.
Today I am still JavaScript blind, I have no faith in AJAX too. As a developer, I’ll probably need to adopt AJAX in order to answer to various AJAX based applications out there, but my money is on A REAL client application instead of AJAX.
