I am carrying an unusually large back pack to work. Mainly due to my unusually large 17″ PowerBook.
I need to carry 2 bottle of water, and my lunch too. So the back pack must be roomy enough.
There is no suitable, bring-to-work style of back pack for my need. So I actually using a trekking back pack.
Recently it starts tearing a part, so I have to look for a replacement. It has been over 2 months, and I was having difficulty to find a suitable replacement — none of them are as large!
Yesterday I’ve finally found one. You know what? It is the same old back pack. Same design, same color, same size and looks exactly the same.
So I have decided to just grabbed it.
I have a twin back pack now. Can you see which is new?
I am quite happy to find such an equivalence replacement after 2 years. No body will noticed that I’ve change my back pack. It is still humble and simple as can be. That’s what I like most.

I work better when I am not in my usual sports (office and home) while having many people around. I have very good coding experience in the car service center and busy restaurants. The ideas keep flowing in, writing code is a joy – very little bugs too.
I though I was able to “borrow” serounding people’s strength. The report said no. It was the noise.
I have enough noise disturbance at home, I stayed beside a 6 lanes, 110 KM/H, cement highway. That doesn’t make me type better. I can only start working hiding in my room with pretty good sound proof.
Also if my two ding dong start playing and yelling out there, I have trouble to concentrate too.
My best time to work is when they are all at sleep, which is usually late at night.
But still, the mood cannot compete with staying in a rather occupied restaurant (my best record so far was working in the cafeteria at Ikea – no internet access too).
So I really doubted it was the noise that matter. You?

This is a pencil sketch that I have done during a boring and lengthly phone call.
I have no idea what was it about (the call, and the sketch), but kind of interesting discovering this after a few months later.
It is a sketch of “boring”, meaningless and fastration. Picasso watch out!

This is the Chinese lunar month number 7, also referred as the month for the ghosts.
So for those believed in ghost (or God), don’t stay out late this month. Specially on the 14th day.
You’ve been warned.

Here is a very simple arithmetic – total up the following figures:
0.9
11.9
0.9
0.9
2.15
0.75
0.75
1.99
1.99
4.9
5
3.9
2.9
3.9
7.9
2.9
The result is: 53.63
The primary school student will not failed on this, but the multi-billion hyper-store has difficulties to compute.
Here is what on the Tesco bill: 77.63
Difference by RM 24.00
Ok, my wife said that the total could be right, as it seems there are some items missing from the bill.
Even so, still a Tesco’s billing fiasco.

I’ve been coughing for the last 3 weeks, after I’ve settled from my fever and flu.
I get better each day, very, very slowly, as I can feel it by “measuring” the amount of phlegm in my throat.
After I’ve acquired a air purifier (mentioned in my previous blog), my cough seems to heal much quicker.
I am feeling much better now after 2 good night sleep beside the machine.
I’ve noticed that my son coughing also has dismissed today – where he has been coughing for over 2 weeks too.
No, I am not associate with the machine maker, nor that I am a fan of that brand.
I guess the HEPA thingy really works, at least my breathing system don’t have to fight so hard, that’s why I can heal faster. Hooray!
It is a better investment than my N80

The haze is returning, see the photo:
This year I am well prepared. Look at the gear that I have invested:
It is a Sharp Air Purifier, with a HEPA filter! No play play.
I’ve also bought some 3M filter and mounted on my air conditional, that should further purify the air around my living environment.
Now, the only problem here is, I don’t have such gear in the office, and I spent great amount of time in the office. Damn!

Here is my 5 episodes of “Attack by the> haze” written last year.

Friend (ex colleague) of mine sent me this picture that she took during her visit on Pulau Perhentian for scuba diving.
Don’t you wish to be there now? Even if you don’t do scuba….
Go ahead, download it and set it as your wallpaper, and get back to the work.
