After dumping the disgusting webstat4u approach to push their ads, I have picked Sitemeter.

I think they have enough features that I wanted, and serve me right. Let’s see how things go from now.

I have been using Webstats4U free counter for many years. Recently their codes starting to pop up some tasteless ads on my blog.

No, I don’t like that, so I have stopped using their codes.
Doing this quietly on all of their users are rather disgusting too. Although I’ve paid nothing so far.

Time for hunting a better counter.

Just be more creative and have more variety – don’t just sell viagra and method of enlarging my wee-wee all the time.
I am getting promotional email from Dell at least once a day, I am ok with that, and I only purchase a few unit of servers in a year – and when I really do, I will go to their website to hunt for it, not looking thru the email archive.

I am really don’t mind getting spam on topics that I am interested. Unfortunately that is also called the “newsletter”.

So there isn’t really a reason to spam, really.

Do I click on the link in the spam email? Never… oh wait, I did couple of times accidentally.
Do I read the spam email? Yes, because I need to extract some keywords out of it and enter into the junk filtering system that I am managing (that’s one of my job task).
Did I buy anything? Nope. No.

There you go. Don’t spam me, you are wasting my time.

I don’t watch TV all the much. But I do pull some DVD/VCD and watch them deep in the night.
When I do, I always wanted to “play a little” faster – I need to hit the bed sooner. If the broadcaster has been reducing the show time to squeeze more commercials quietly all the while, I see no reason why today DVD players can’t do just that.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to chop off the movie or jumping tracks. I just want the player to go a little faster like 5% to 10%, so that I can save 5 to 10 minutes on completing a movie.

Apple Quicktime player has that feature. It works very well. No distortion on sound playback too, but the function did not work for ALL the movie that it plays.

This is a killer feature that I am still waiting for.
