Getting online everywhere is not that hard, really
I was traveling the whole week, bringing my family visiting my sister at Johor Bahru, cross over to Singapore, and stay a night at Tesaru beach side.
I was able to get online pretty easily while staying at my sister house as she has got broadband with WiFi.
I was quite happy on the availability of the net. I didn’t bring my notebook to Singapore, so never think of getting online there – and I never did.
But I’ve tried my luck over Tesaru, a beach almost 100 KM from Johor Bahru town – consider a rural area. I have weak GSM signal, 3G is totally out, but GPRS serve me well.
Working at the beach is fun, with 4 hours battery life to put out with, even better.
Unfortunately I cannot focus well during those hours, not because of bikini chicks walking on the beach (it was raining season, no body at the beach actually), but the sticky feeling on the humid weather, and the broadband hungry content isn’t realistic for GRPS. Really.
I ended up doing nothing much but mostly offline stuffs. Although my notebook is able to pump for over 4 hours, but mobile phone last for 2 hours only running full on GRPS (1 hour for 3G). So I was back to our chalet just after 2 hours hanging out.
